Smith Newmans are an experienced firm of accountants, business and tax advisers. Focusing on customer service and support, we help small and medium-sized businesses with tax, financial accounting, VAT, payroll, bookkeeping, self-assessment tax returns, business consultancy, support and advice.
Our main office is based near Winchester and we have an office in Andover. We have been operating across the South of England for over 25 years.
We are proud to be helping businesses grow and develop across Hampshire, Berkshire, London, Sussex, Surrey, Dorset, Wiltshire and the Isle of Wight.
Meet the Management Team
Nigel Newman FFA
Nigel is the tax partner at Smith Newmans and has over 25 years experience in practice. He brings particular expertise in tax planning and business development advice and works closely with his portfolio of clients, which range from start-ups to larger established businesses. Outside of work, Nigel is a keen golfer, but his other sporting interests are now only spectating, mainly football and cricket. He has had a lifelong interest in animals, wildlife and reading books.
Carole Taylor FCA
Carole is a partner at Smith Newmans who has a wealth of experience as a Chartered Accountant. She qualified in 1989, became a Fellow ten years later and started her own business in 1993. She specialises in small business and is a member of The Athena Network. Carole has two grown-up children and in her spare time, enjoys watching sports (live, if possible!), in particular football, cricket and Formula 1.
